I am pleased to announce that last month I was named the Georgia Chiropractic Association’s (GCA) Chiropractor of the year! I received this news at the GCA’s 105th Annual Fall Conference and Trade Show on October 21st. The event took place at the Westin Atlanta Perimeter in North Atlanta.
The GCA is an organization that exists to connect, educate, and empower chiropractors across our state. Its goal is to equip Georgia chiropractors with the tools they need to ensure their practices run smoothly and efficiently. The organization even offers a discounted rate to chiropractors that need to fulfill their continuing education requirements. The GCA also funds a lobbyist who is at the Capitol every day during the General Assembly and works with legislators on issues that impact chiropractors’ practices and patients. As a state representative, the representation of chiropractic medicine on a state government level is huge!
This year’s conference featured many speakers from the chiropractic community of Georgia. Guests in attendance had the opportunity to see products from various vendors, as well as hear teachings on several different topics. Some of those topics include Georgia law, extremity adjusting, indications for spinal surgery, and chiropractic nutrition. There was also time set aside during the event to honor long-time members of the group.
It is such an honor to have my work recognized by a prestigious group like the GCA. I have enjoyed being part of this group and have seen the benefit of being part of it in my own work as a doctor of chiropractic medicine. It is also an honor to be known as the first doctor of chiropractic in Georgia to serve in the state legislature. Thank you for continuing to let me lead District 73 the way I do! I am proud to be part of this community.
